The goal of this research is to estimate the informativity of the differential interferometry method (DInSAR) applied to the study of modern crustal movements on the territory of oil-producing regions in the Republic of Tatarstan (RT). For the first time ever, ERS-1 radar data were used to map ground displacements in the territory of RT. Possibility of using radar data for monitoring of urbanized territories is also presented. Finally results from interferometric processing of radar data were compared with geodetic leveling data.
